Andrew's new NY Giants hat

My son Andrew was born on February 13, 2013 weighing in at 9lbs 5oz. He is destined to be a NY Giants football fan so I had to make him this awesome hat. He out grew it so fast so in another few months Im going to make him another one just like this but bigger. I got the pattern from a great crochet/craft website called repeat crafter me. She has some awesome free patterns, check out her website by searching her site name. I cant wait to make another one of these hats for Andrew closer to the winter months.

Jasmin's Baby Shower March 2012

CROCHETED BLANKET FOR THE NEWEST BABY LUNDGREN Its my thing to be the one who makes the homemade blankets for events like this. I sort of took over that tradition when my Mother passed away. Since we dont know the sex of this little peanut...I thought it was approprate to make this in yellow & green. I've had alot going on in my life so I decided to make this pattern as simple as possible. I just did double crochets the whole way through. 10 rows per color..and the white in between is done in single crochets, 4 rows of each. I was very pleased with how this came out.
My sister and I found these cute bibs and I thought it would be even cuter to sew our names in them..lol I think it was a hit at the shower :)
FAVORS I decided for Jasmin's shower I'd do her favors a little different. Since she is due in the Spring, I thought a nice bouquet of Rice Krispies lollipops dipped in pastel colored chocolates. Since Jasmin is also a fan of Winnie the Pooh, I thought it might be cute to have the flowers done in Poohs honey pot. I thought they came out adorable.
DIAPER CAKES So, once again I decided to get creative with some of the diapers I bought for my brother and sister in law's new baby due at the end of April. The first is your traditional diaper layer cake. The second is a Winnie the Pooh w/ his honey pot diaper cake and the third is a cool Motorcycle cake. I was very pleased with how these came out! Not only did they make great gifts, but they also made awesome decorations for the Shower!!

Winter hat for my adorable niece Catherine

My friend Michelle sent me this pattern for this cute little hat. She had made it for a friend of ours who just had a little girl. I thought it was so cute. I had to make one for my beautiful niece Catherine, and make it in yellow since that is her Mommy's favorite color. I thought it came out so cute. I love the way it looks on her. Just adorable. I hope they get some use out of it this winter.

Accessories for one of my blankets

So, I posted a while back that my Mom had started this blanket a few years ago then got very sick with Cancer. She ended up passing away before she could finish this blanket for me and it took me almost a year, but I managed to pick up where she left off and finish this project. When I was finished I noticed I had 2 squares left over. I held onto them for a long time not sure what to do with them. Then I thought a matching pillow would look really cool with the blanket. So I did just that. I think it came out awesome. I love looking at these items, they remind me of my Mom each time I see them.
