Winter hat for my adorable niece Catherine

My friend Michelle sent me this pattern for this cute little hat. She had made it for a friend of ours who just had a little girl. I thought it was so cute. I had to make one for my beautiful niece Catherine, and make it in yellow since that is her Mommy's favorite color. I thought it came out so cute. I love the way it looks on her. Just adorable. I hope they get some use out of it this winter.

Accessories for one of my blankets

So, I posted a while back that my Mom had started this blanket a few years ago then got very sick with Cancer. She ended up passing away before she could finish this blanket for me and it took me almost a year, but I managed to pick up where she left off and finish this project. When I was finished I noticed I had 2 squares left over. I held onto them for a long time not sure what to do with them. Then I thought a matching pillow would look really cool with the blanket. So I did just that. I think it came out awesome. I love looking at these items, they remind me of my Mom each time I see them.

Blanket for little Dylan

I made this blanket for one of my closest friends. Karen and I have known each other our whole lives. We have had so many simalar things happen in our lives...we got engaged a month apart from each other and had our weddings the same year. I was so excited when Karen told me she was expecting so I had to make her something special for her new baby. Dylan arrived at the end of Sept on my late fathers birthday. I was so happy to give her this beautiful blanket. She was sweet enough to send me a picture of Dylan all cozy in this blanket. Im so glad she likes it and that they are getting some use out of it.

Blanket for Baby Bean aka Ozzy :)

Here are some better pictures of the blanket I made for Baby Bean. I love the hood...I cant wait to see BB wrapped in this after his/her bath :)

Amanda's Baby Shower: GIFTS

So, here are some pictures of the gifts I decided to make for Amanda and her little baby bean. The first is a 3 tier diaper cake. Its the gift any new mother will use...and its a great centerpiece. I used #1 infant diapers and since Amanda loves Winny the Pooh, I tried to make it with pooh decorations. I thought it came out awesome for my very first DIAPER CAKE.

The second picture is a Diaper Bassinet. This is very cute but much more of a pain to make..lol. I had leftover diapers from my diaper cake so I thought this would be cute to try. Everyone seemed to love it and thought it was adorable.

How can you have a baby shower without making booties. These cute white w/ yellow trim booties were very simple and came out adorable. Id definally make them again.

Last but not least is the picture of the hooded blanket I made for Baby Bean. Yellow being Amanda's favorite it was a no brainer to pick out this pattern. It came out bigger then the pattern but I didnt think that was a bad thing. I tried to crochet loose so it would turn out a bit larger. Its a plain blanket but sometimes plain is really nice.

Amanda's Baby Shower: FAVORS

My other job was to make the favors for Amanda's shower. You cant go wrong with Chocolates and my friend Karen let me borrow her molds to make these delicious chocolate lollipops. They were pretty simple to make, just time consuming. I think Amanda and all her guest liked them...I know I thought they came out pretty good :)

Amanda's Baby Shower: DIAPER PIN GAME

So, my sister, sister in law and my sister in law's family through my older brothers wife a baby shower a few weeks ago. We were each in charge of a something and mine was the favors and a game. The game I chose is the Diaper Pin Game. I made little pins in unisex colors (yellow & green) and each guest got a pin when they arrived. 2 of the pins had "poop" in it and who ever had the "dirty diaper" won a prize. Here are some pictures of the DIAPER PIN GAME:
